New PMP Exam 2021

The PMI (Project Management Institute) carries out continuous research to analyze the continuous progress of the profession, as a result of these investigations is updated exam PMP. The exam is updated due to the work as a professional project management can take different approaches.

The new version of the test is in force since the beginning of the year 2021.

This version of the exam consists of 180 questions and the allotted time is 230 minutes with two 10-minute breaks, the first at the end of the questions 60 and the second after you solve the question 120 you have to take into account that the back of the breaks can't go back to the questions from the previous section.

The 3 areas of focus domain (area of expertise) to evaluate are:

1. PEOPLE: Social skills that are required to lead.
2. PROCESS: Technical aspects to project management.
3. BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT: The connection between projects and organizational strategy.

Each domain corresponds to a certain percentage of the total exam

3. To support the performance of the computer
4. Empower team members and stakeholders
5. Make sure that the team members and stakeholders receive adequate training
6. Create a team
7. To address and remove barriers, obstacles and blockers for the team
8. Negotiate agreements of the projects
9. Collaborate with stakeholders
10. Generate a shared understanding
11. Engage and support virtual teams
12. Define the basic rules of the team
13. Perform mentoring to the relevant stakeholders
14. Promote the team's performance through the application of emotional intelligence

1. Run a project with the urgency necessary to deliver the business value
2. Manage communications
3. Assess and manage the risks
4. Engage stakeholders
5. Plan and manage the budget and resources
6. Plan and manage the schedule
7. Plan and manage the quality of the products and deliverables
8. Plan and manage the scope
9. Integrate planning activities of the project
10. Manage changes to the project
11. Plan and manage acquisitions
12. Manage artifacts project
13. Detect the methodology / methods and practices appropriate to the project
14. Establish the governance structure of the project
15. Manage project issues
16. Ensure the transfer of knowledge for the continuity of projects
17. Plan and manage the closure or transition of projects / phases

1. Plan and manage the performance of the projects
2. Evaluate and deliver the benefits and the value of the projects
3. Assess and address changes in the external environment of business in respect of the impact on the scope
4. Support organizational change

The experience must include activities of leadership and project management, in addition to that experience must have at least 35 hours of training in project management, this point is not necessary if it has a certification CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management).
