What is Archicad?
It is a tool for modeling BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM) developed by Graphisoft, it is a software that fosters collaborative work between Architects, Engineers and Contractors.
Versions of Archicad
All versions have brought many enhancements that make the 3D modeling of the project, each version has been assigned a color in the icon.
The new version number 25 has several key improvements to the design and the display of the projects, thus speeding up the conditions for the development of projects in a digital way.
New linkage between Archicad and Revit
Between the updates of this tool is the easy migration of data from Revit to Archicad, thanks to the functionality of exchange of geometry RFA (Revit Families) and RVT.
The compatibility of formats makes Archicad import the information as if it were native knowledge of the program.
Import process
- You export a 3D model
- Archicad identifies as 3D geometry from Revit and link it to a 3D model RVT
- Archicad recognizes the filters of the disciplines that you now have, which are handled Revit.
- You can change without losing data of your model in Revit.
During the process of exchange of information between Revit and Archicad application Solibri is the one in charge of saving time and eliminating errors of the import with the extension Archicad – Solibri Connection.
The new version of Archicad 25
Some of the enhancements in version 25 are:
- New furniture for commercial and residential
- Rapid change of view-2D and 3D
- New textures of surfaces
- Labeling for MEP elements
- Openings Polygonal
- New geometrical method of construction of stairs
The Architecture, in addition to the design, involves the interaction between space – functionality – to-volume ratio and, therefore, these tools are essential for an innovative development of your projects.
